Me & Emma.jpg

Residential window cleaning is the service that started the entire exterior cleaning business.

We started as a very small window cleaning round which over the course of a few years has grown and grown to the point we're at today, cleaning hundreds of homes every month within Huddersfield. We are still able to take on new clients in select areas of Huddersfield so please get in touch to see if we can accommodate you into the round.

We are based in the Lindley/Oakes HD3 area however the majority of our window cleaning work takes us through: Lindley, Marsh, Longwood, Salendine Nook, Reinwood and Oakes/Lindley. However if your property is outside of these areas do still get in touch for a free, no obligation, quote.

If you are looking for a professional and reliable window cleaner and you have property within the Huddersfield area, then please contact us for a free, no obligation quote.

Window Cleaning FAQs

Q: Which areas of Huddersfield do you cover?

We cover most areas of Huddersfield with the majority of our working being in Lindley, Oakes, Marsh, Salendine Nook, Reinwood, Edgerton. However we are not restricted to working just in these areas and will cover the entirety of Huddersfield. Please contact us to see if we can clean your property.

Q: What does it cost to have my windows cleaned?

Every property is different, because of that we do not have a one price fits all model. However, to give yourself a rough idea of our pricing we generally charge £1 per pane of glass. The average price for a semi detached house for window cleaning in Huddersfield in 2019 was about £14, however every house is different so please get in touch for in an accurate quote.

Q: How will you clean my windows?

We use a mix of traditional methods and water fed poles which cleans with low pressure pure de-ionised water for all external windows. The pure water is pumped up the pole, which allows the brush to scrub and clean the window and frames with the pure water rinsing away the dirt. Once cleaning is finished we will then rinse the window again and it will dry spot and streak free.

We will occasionally use traditional methods to clean windows where this is more suitable, however the water fed pole method allows far superior cleaning of PVC window frames and sills, so this is our preferred method.

Q: What is pure water?

We only use pure, de ionised water in our window cleaning. This means that all the impurities typically found in water have been removed. Standard tap water in the UK has on average 150 parts per million of impurities, the water we use has 0 parts per million of impurities. It is the impurities in tap water that when dried on glass leave spots and streaks, pure water (also known as distilled water) doesn't do this.

Q: How often should I have my windows cleaned?

This can vary a lot depending on your location. As a general rule, you shouldn't wait any longer than 8 weeks however most properties in the Huddersfield area generally go through a clean every 4 weeks. Leaving uPVC frames/sills/plastics dirty for long periods of time allows dirt to accumulate and ultimately discolour the plastic, even once discoloured plastic has been cleaned it can be permanently stained a dark grey/browny colour. Regular window cleaning prevents this from happening by keeps your plastics bright white and stops light being blocked coming in through your windows.

Q: Can you clean my windows while it is raining?

Generally yes, rainwater is usually very clean and will not interfere with our cleaning. There is a chance heavy rain will leave behind some spots or streaks on your windows but we can continue to work in light weather. More severe weather that poses a health & safety hazard to our cleaners will have to be considered whether it is safe to continue to work in.

Q: Do you clean the frames and sills?

Yes, frames and sill cleaning is included in the price you pay. Some wooden window frames that are in poor condition we may refrain from cleaning to avoid potential damage and stone sills typically require pressure washing/soft washing to clean thoroughly.

Q: How will I know when you're coming?

If you request it, we can text the night before to let you know we're coming the next day. We will ask you to make sure access is available to get around to the rear of your property. When we have finished cleaning you will receive another text/email to let you know the job has finished.

Q: How do I pay for regular window cleaning?

The only payment method which is accepted for regular window cleaning customers is via Direct Debit which is managed by GoCardless. This system removes the reminder for the customer to pay after every window clean and ensures you only pay when the windows have been cleaned and not just on a set date every month. If you believe that payment has been taken without good reason, the window cleaning agreement is held to all the rules of the Direct Debit Scheme and you can reclaim your money via your bank.
